Public Administration - Getting Organized Before and During Administration 
You just received a referral for a Public Admin estate. Now what?  This class will discuss due diligence in searching for heirs; setting up your file using checklists with timelines, due dates and notice requirements. We will review the Probate Code as it relates to duties and obligations of the Public Administrator and administering estates smoothly. We will also share and discuss issues and concerns you have with estate administration, file set-up and other concerns regarding Public Administration.
 
Brooke Mansfield has worked in the legal field for over 30 years. She served on the Executive Committee of Legal Professionals, Inc for 10 years, serving as President from 2010-2012.  Brooke was the Office Manager/Paralegal for a solo law practice for 16 years with a focus on Probate, Trust Administration and Estate Planning. She has worked in the District Attorney’s Office in Butte County and Modoc County.  Brooke currently serves the Modoc County Public Administrator in Modoc County with their Public Administration Estates.  She also serves as Modoc County’s Victim Services Coordinator.

The training will take place on October 30th from 10:00am - 11:30am via Zoom

An email with the Zoom link and instructions on how to attend will be sent out a day prior to the training. 

The training is virtually designed to ensure that the benefits of in-person trainings are still available. This will include being able to ask questions, have access to the training materials, and converse with fellow members. 

You must complete the entire registration process to be added to the training list. You will know the process is completed when the page clearly indicates confirmation that you are registered and provides a receipt. That receipt is proof of your registration and is important to have for your records.
