Virtual Substance Use Disorders 101: An Introduction to Effects, Impacts, and Interventions: This training will introduce participants to the epidemiology, prevalence, and neurobiology of substance use disorder (SUD), and will provide information on the consequences of substances commonly used by patients, clients, and consumers. The training will frame addiction as a neurobiological condition that is indicated by compulsive drug-taking despite negative consequences. The training will also identify treatment modifications and suggestions for interventions in order to better address neurobiological impairments through cognitive and behavioral interventions and engagement strategies.
