TRAINING OVERVIEW

A full-day conference-type academy for those aspiring to become leaders, recently appointed leaders, or those already in leadership positionsLeadership skills are necessary within all levels of an organization and participants of this day-long event will gain knowledge and skills to lead others.  The Academy consists of 3 training sessions which must be registered for individually.  Participants must register for all 3 sessions and attend the entire event.  The Academy will run from 8:30am-4:30pm with a 1-hour break for lunch. 

 

Training agenda is as follows:

  • 8:30am-9:00pm - Introduction to the Academy
  • 9:00am-12:00pm - Leadership Through Your Strengths
  • 12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch Break
  • 1:00pm-2:30pm - Leading and Managing within a County System
  • 2:30pm - 2:45pm - Break
  • 2:45pm-4:15pm - Becoming an Inspirational Leader
  • 4:15pm-4:30pm - Concluding The Academy

Detailed descriptions of each class offered will be listed under each workshop and cover:

  • Leadership Through Your Strengths (3 credits)
  • Leading and Managing within a County System (1.5 credits)
  • Inspiring Others (1.5 credits)

You must select which workshops you will be attending as part of the ticket process. Your workshop selections will be used to track attendance at the event. You must sign up for all workshops or your registration will be canceled. 

The training will take place on May 2nd from 8:30am-4:30pm via Zoom

An email with the Zoom link and instructions on how to attend will be sent out a day prior to the training. 

The training is virtually designed to ensure that the benefits of in-person trainings are still available. This will include being able to ask questions, have access to the training materials, and converse with fellow members. 

You must complete the entire registration process to be added to the training list. You will know the process is completed when the page clearly indicates confirmation that you are registered and provides a receipt. That receipt is proof of your registration and is important to have for your records.

TRAINING OVERVIEW

The Strengthsfinder assessment allows you to gain insights into your unique strengths and talents. In this session we will explore how to leverage and hone your unique strengths as a leader, regardless of your role. Becoming self-aware is the foundation of leadership, and the more you understand what makes you tick in terms of your top strengths and your weaknesses, the more you can be effective, creative, and engaged. We will also explore how knowing your strengths improves your communication approach, your leadership style, and encourages better understanding and collaboration within your team. This session will be highly interactive.

***Participants will need to complete the Clifton StrengthsFinder prior to coming to the Academy. The information will be emailed to you after registration.
