Association Approved Online Training

Elder Justice Virtual Training 

 

In collaboration with several partners including the CA Department of Aging, CA Department of Social Services, LTC Ombudsman’s Association, and the CA Commission on Aging a series of one-hour lunch time virtual trainings on Collaboration and Elder Justice will be presented over
the coming months.

This series of trainings is limited to the allowed 7 total proficiency credits for PAPGPC members within four years. 


The eighth training will be on the topic of Adult Protective Services and Dependent Adults: Sometimes it’s Messy, and will be presented by Kim Rutledge, on Thursday, February 18th, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00.

 

Please note: Our process for confirmation of attendance has changed. See updated steps below:


All PAPGPC members can earn certification credits for these trainings by following these steps:


1. Register for the event here

 

2. After attending the entire training, send the Association an email at info@capapgpc.org confirming you attended. Please include the date and title of the training in the email. We are not asking for proof of attendance sent by the training organizers, just verification from you that you attended. 

We will send a response to the members who have been confirmed, at which point payment is required. Once payment has been received, credits will be applied. Any members who send in payment without confirming first will not receive credits.


3. Send the payment of $10 per hour of training per person to:

An invoice will be provided after confirming attendance. The completed invoice can either be emailed to info@capapgpc.org or mailed to the address above. Both the invoice and payment are required for credits

Disclaimer: Per the Standards and Certification policy of the Association, there are restrictions to the number of credits for specific categories of trainings.

Members are limited to 7 (seven) Proficiency credits within their current 4-year certification window. 

There is also a limit of 7 (seven) credits for Online Trainings- online refers to any recorded training, even if it was originally live, if the recorded version is being watched then it is considered an Online Training and must be submitted as such for credits.

There is no limit to the number of Competency credits

The Elder Justice Series is considered a Proficiency training. Each training is 1 (one) credit.

Members are responsible for tracking the number of Proficiency credits they have earned.
